We are now looking for a Cloud Security Specialist to join our Cloud Security Practice. The preferred location for the position is in Finland.

What you will be doing

 In this position, your work will include enhancing Wärtsilä Cloud Platforms security posture. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support from your colleagues. For us to be the best match, we expect you to have understanding in public cloud platforms and experience from working with Microsoft Azure. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from cyber security work and have a degree from Information technology. For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have some exposure to software development matters, as the work does include DevSecOps responsibilities in addition to Cloud Security Operations.

 As Cloud Security Specialist, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

-Check necessary security configurations from azure (log management, sentinel etc.)

– Run post-mortems for incidents

– Verify false-positive findings

– Help on DevSecOps pipelines, adding necessary functions to development side (Static Code Analysis, Container Scanning etc.)

– Verify that infrastructure configurations are complying to Wärtsilä policies (CIS benchmarks, network defense etc.)

– Use our CSPM tools (Orca Security, Defender for Cloud) to find alerts and vulnerabilities on existing resources

– Act as trusted advisor on cloud security matters, guiding projects and providing necessary input from security perspective

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

– Some experience with security reviews and architecture

– Development experience and can write reliable scripts in Python or similar language

– Experience with CI/CD practices

– Experience with public cloud platforms, specially Azure

– Suitable degree (IT, Cyber Security)

– Curious mind with fresh energy
