UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.The Associate Director of Career Coaching in the Career & Leadership for MBA & Alumni department coaches MBA students and alumni at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School seeking jobs in a variety of industries. The Associate Director plans and delivers career planning and job search programming to MBA students in small-group formats, workshops, and large classroom/auditorium presentations, in-person and virtual. This position is also responsible for 1-on-1 and small group student career coaching. The Associate Director will also manage and participate in several career management-related initiatives and events throughout the year.The Associate Director reports to the Senior Associate Director of Career Coaching within the Career & Leadership for MBA & Alumni department. The position will work collaboratively with staff within Career Coaching, Employer Engagement & Recruiting, and Operations and numerous critical departments across the School, like BSBA Career Management, MAC Career Management, MBA Student Engagement, MBA Admissions, Centers of Excellence, and faculty, among others.
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of career management and talent development and some leadership development programming is a plus. -An understanding of the MBA career landscape is helpful in this role.Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent educational or instructional activities associated with the delivery and/or management of student support functions, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and at least 1 year of relevant experience in substitution.
