The UCLA Labor Center community education specialist will also recruit student activists and young worker participants and coordinate with stakeholders on workshop logistics, venues, program/curriculum details. The curriculum developer/workshop facilitator will evaluate each workshop to document how to improve and expand the curriculum education and training materials with their supervisor. The curriculum developer/workshop facilitator is expected to report weekly on their curriculum and workshop development progress with their supervisor and attend check-in meetings, with the curriculum team. In addition, the curriculum developer/workshop facilitator will attend check-in and other relevant meetings with the
UCLA Labor Center Youth Worker research team and partners.

Required/Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Labor Studies, Public Affairs, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Working knowledge of labor and workplace relations with a commitment to advancing workplace rights and social justice for all workers and their families.

Experience working with community-based youth advocacy and labor organizations.

Experience in developing educational materials and curriculum, particularly for worker and multilingual audiences.

Experience in conducting participatory workshops and training sessions, particularly with young, low-wage workers.
