The Suttle Lodge & Boathouse is looking for cooks! The Suttle Lodge is a large timber lodge in the middle of the Deschutes National Forest with lakeside cabins, camp cabins, a lobby cocktail bar and boathouse. The Boathouse restaurant on a dock beside the lake, serving casual breakfast, lunch and dinner from a fish-shack-meets-diner-style menu. Adjacent to The Boathouse are a provisions shop, beer garden, and watercraft rentals.
We have:
Two restaurants on Suttle Lake in Deschutes National Forest, Oregon.
A high-volume, quick-service seasonal restaurant at our lakeside Boathouse.
A tavern-style year-round restaurant in our Lodge that serves our lakeview patio in good weather and our fireside lodge in chiller weather.
Year-round events programming that pairs food & drink with music, art, and of course, nature.
On property dormitory housing available.
You have:
Proof of Vaccination (We’re out in the middle of the forest and need to take care of each other best we can)
The desire to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
The ability to put in physical work to learn fundamental cooking methods and techniques. And the desire to hone those skills and build speed.
The ability and desire to communicate and work as a team. The desire to use kitchen systems to uphold standards.
The desire to enjoy preparing and cooking food for people in a beautiful setting.
Job Function:
Preparation of food to recipe standards.
Execution of plated dishes to recipe standards.
Rotation and organization of product to health code and restaurant standards.
The daily cleaning of kitchen facilities and equipment to health code and restaurant stadards.
Pay:
– $20 hour starting pay
– Medical and Dental benefits offered after 90-day probationary period
– Other compensation available (Tips and/or Service Charges)
– Possible year end bonus based on property profitability
