Working week
This is a permanent role within SCW. Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. 37.5 hours per week

What will the apprentice be doing?
The apprentice will be supported by the team to undertake a range of tasks and duties. This includes:
Production of data reports for internal SCW needs and external clients
Maintaining our Employee Staff Record (ESR) including setting up new users, amending access
Management of the information team email inbox
Dealing with first line enquiries
Supporting administration requirements for national and bespoke audits
Provide help and guidance to the HR Operations Team colleagues on issues they might be experiencing
Regular quality data checks to ensure SCW and external clients are ranked in the top 20 NHS organisations for national benchmarking datasets
Provide help and support with the rollout of additional projects or functions of ESR to customers
To be a subject matter expert in our employee staff record (ESR) service, providing education and support to staff and managers
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The apprentice will be enrolled into Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard, and we will discuss the training provider on appointment, as this will depend on the individuals preferred learning approach – online or face to face.
If someone does not have Maths and English Grade C or above, the apprentice will complete functional skills in these areas as part of their apprenticeship.
In addition to the above, the individual will have on the job training on all our systems and will have a mentor to support them throughout the process.
The team will have regular discussions in relation to your career direction and SCW have a range of training packages to complement your apprenticeship and your development.

Things to consider
SCW offers a hybrid working model to all staff, which consists of home and office working. Ideally you will be located near to our Southampton office or able to travel there on a weekly or bi weekly basis, we identified a suitable mentor that is located near to this site who will support the apprentice that joins the team
