REPUBLIC CLOTHING GROUP Looking For TECHNICAL DESIGNER – Women’s Apparel AT New York, New York Full Time

Great opportunity for a Technical Designer. This role is to work with the technical design team in wovens and cut & sew knits maintaining the flow of information between internal departments and factories. The right person for this role must be able to perform tech design-related tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Create tech packs including measurements, construction details and sample detailed images. 

• Prepare samples for daily fit sessions. 

• Attend fittings, take notes, take pictures, etc. 

• Input accurate fit comments and corrections into tech packs after a fitting.

• Review / inspect TOP / Shipment samples. 

• Interact daily with Design and Production teams.

• Other duties related to the technical department.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

• College Degree in Patternmaking or/and Technical Design helpful but not necessary.

• At least five years’ related experience preferred.

• Good verbal and written communication skills required.

• Computer proficiency with; Excel (a must), Illustrator, and Outlook

• Excellent organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Willing to learn and have a good attitude.

Salary Range:  75K-80K *Actual base salary for this role within the above range will be based upon experience and qualifications.
