Position Summary/Objective: The Equipment Inventory Coordinator (EIC) is responsible for assisting the Equipment Inventory Manager in overseeing and coordinating all facets of Pyrotecnico equipment tracking and allocation within the company.
The Equipment Inventory Coordinator (EIC) is a full time hourly non-exempt position
Wage = $17.00/hour and depending on industry experience
Benefits = At 90 days of FT employment, medical, dental, vision and other ancillary benefits are offered Aldo, 401K, paid vacation and paid holidays offered as well. Paid sick is offered upon start date.
Essential Functions of the Equipment Inventory Coordinator:
While not all-inclusive, following is a list of primary and general duties.
Assists in the assessment of equipment needs for quoted shows, and updates the Equipment Inventory Management System (FLEX).
Assists in overseeing equipment and coordinating timely and cost-effective transfer order movements of equipment between facilities in conjunction with the Travel and Freight Coordinators.
Assists EIM in assessing design and implementation changes to the Equipment Inventory Management System.
Assists in providing training for all relevant staff regarding equipment maintenance standards and procedures
Assist EIM in Identifying equipment in need of repair and or replacement and ensure communication and approval to bring that equipment back into working inventory.
Other tasks and assignments at the direction of the Equipment Inventory Manager.
Education and Experience of the Equipment Inventory Coordinator
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and web-based inventory/accounting systems is preferred. (This is a highly clerical position).
Ability to work within deadlines, strong organization skills and a true
love of being accountable for details– are required.
Knowledge of proper and safe operation of effects, pyro and fireworks equipment (will train).
Knowledge of stage and theatrical production, including stage terminology, safety, and
production organization is preferred (will train).
Ability to support/train others to follow all safety protocols.
Ability to quickly solve problems and issues.
Ability to understand budgets and timelines.
Past experience in working in a regulated environment, preferred.
Prior inventory management experience with knowledge of FLEX preferred but not required.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions of supervisor is required.
Ability to pass federal background check required.
Work Environment of the Equipment Inventory Coordinator
This job operates in an office and warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, office phones and other standard office equipment. This role involves ongoing communication with internal employees and external contacts–via phone, email and any other professional means of communication necessary to complete the duties.
Physical Demands
The person in this role must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and must move about occasionally inside the office or warehouse to access files and/or office machinery and to have routine contact with individuals on the 2nd floor of the office side of the building. The person in this role must frequently climb stairs to the second floor to interact with employees, obtain information, attend meetings-or as needed to complete the essential job duties. This person in this role will be able to occasionally lift 50lbs and frequently work in a warehouse (and office) environment where there are temperature extremes–both warm and cold.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. This person in this role will typically work an 8am to 5pm schedule, except during high volume sales/show periods when evening and weekend work may be required.
Travel
This position requires infrequent travel, less than 35%. Travel may be mixed — local and outside the local area and overnight. Rarely would travel be international, but being legally able to cross the Canadian border is required.
