JOB DESCRIPTION
The Graduate School in the Oral Roberts College of Theology and Ministry invites applications for a full-time faculty position in theology and historical studies. We are currently seeking to fill an Assistant/Associate Professor of Theology, full-time 9-month contract position.
DUTIES
Teach a full course load of 18credit hours over 9 months;
Provide academic advising to students;
Serve as asked on departmental, college, and university committees;
Supervise doctoral projects/dissertations;
Engage in scholarly activities such as research and writing;
Assist with accreditation self-study requirements; and
Remain actively involved in relevant professional organizations and activities.
REQUIREMENTS
Essential Academic Preparation:
Candidate must have a Ph.D. in Theology
Teaching experience in higher education, administrative experience, and a demonstrated record of research, and writing scholarly publications and presentations.
Materials Needed:
Letter of interest outlining teaching and clinical experience as well as research interests, curriculum vitae, three letters of reference, and a completed ORU Faculty Application Form. (Official transcripts will be required after hiring)
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and teaching experience. Compatibility with ORU’s spiritual and religious values, sensitivity to diversity issues, and commitment to professional ethics are required.
