WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will drive the design and implementation of next generation, omnichannel capabilities for our elite distribution and fulfillment centers.
– Lead the MHE design and development of physical fulfillment systems within Nike NA Logistics, Provides technical leadership and expertise for large-scale engineering projects
– Design and implement engineering solutions that ensure product flow through distribution facilities and human/machine efficiency throughout the Nike’s NA supply chain
– Lead identification, development and coordination of MHE/robotics design and innovation efforts to develop efficient solutions for the distribution and fulfillment networks through, material flow, process design, site layout and equipment specification
– Lead cost/benefit analyses and development of a compelling case for capital investment to specific DC design requirements and drive cross-functional alignment with senior leadership
– Collaborate with internal partners to coordinating development of RFP (Request for Proposal), scope of work and functional specifications leading to an AR (Appropriation Request) approvals
– Collaborates with cross functional internal project teams and MHE/Robotics vendors to identify, assess, test and implement flexible and scalable solutions that align with DC design requirements
– Collaborates with internal business partners and external vendors in the execution of system startup activities including installation, commissioning and performance testing
– Leads multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors
– Responsible for team recruiting, hiring, mentoring and development

In this role, your team will partner across Nike North America & Global Supply chain teams to advocate for the functional teams running the business and provide expertise and understanding in DC processes and MHE that will drive solutions with automation and robotics.
WHAT YOU BRING
– Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any discipline) or a related field (Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred) or relevant combination of education, experience, and training
– 5+ years of experience in logistics engineering or related occupation of Industrial Engineer, Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer
– 2+ years experience leading a successful team of engineers
– Experience must involve technical leadership for large-scale engineering project including responsibility for leading MHE vendors, budgets, schedules, and functional/volume/user acceptance tests
– Design, project realization and operation experience with automated material handling equipment, preferably high-speed conveyance, automated sortation systems, case level ASRS, shuttle systems, automated packaging equipment, goods to person picking systems and robotics systems
– Skilled in process design based on Lean Principles
– Ability to review/validate analytical data and settle the best course of action
– Experience with WMS, AutoCAD. Experience with simulation software preferred
– Basic knowledge of PLC and control systems preferred
