We are currently seeking a Merchandise Planning Associate to join our fast growing team. Reporting to the Director of Merchandise Planning, this role will participate in strategic planning initiatives as well as day-to-day inventory management to maximize the growth of our business. Our ideal candidate will have strong and demonstrable eCommerce buying and planning experience in a high SKU environment, possess strong analytical skills, exude creative problem solving, and be able to keep pace with an environment that changes daily. We are looking for a self-starter that is detail-oriented, comfortable with data, and passionate about the digital space.

Responsibilities

• Assist Director of Merchandise Planning in writing POs, including setting up order shells and ensuring prices and margins are accurate by style
• Assist the team in developing dashboards to define and forecast seasonal KPIs (e.g., buys, sales, inventory turn, margin, average retail price, and COGS)
• Offer insight and work collaboratively with other departments on assortment in an effort to ensure breadth and seasonality is appropriate to positively impact sales and margin
• Responsible for PO submission, tracking edits, and creating SKUs & barcodes
• Bring creative best practices to the table
• Partner with Director of Merchandise Planning in forecasting daily sales and sell-through in regards to weekly launch cadence
• Prepare selling and site performance recaps and develop conclusions based on analytics
• Communicate with eCommerce and Wholesale teams regarding inventory recommendations
• Maintain ownership of the go-to market calendar
• Participate in business development projects
• Partner with Creative and Marketing teams to strategically determine which assets to promote based on inventory position

Requirements

• 3-4 years merchandise planning or buying experience; DTC or eCommerce specific preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with strong finance specialty, Economics, or Fashion
• Experience with Shopify is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a remote environment with cross-functional teams
• Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite with strong proficiency in  Microsoft Excel
• Strong quantitative skills, with a proven track record of driving business results
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• A data-driven approach and growth mindset — you’re always learning and looking for new things to test and ways to improve
• Experience working in a fast-paced DTC environment is a plus!
• A ‘no task is too small’ attitude with the willingness to assist the team on other tasks and projects when required
