Hello Nite Looking For Associate / Technical Designer AT Los Angeles, California Full Time

• Oversee the fit, quality and construction of product from initial design tech pack pass-off through production
• Create development tech packs with technical sketches, garment specs and construction
• Comments on yarn/ tension/ stitch, etc. and knows the technical aspect of the garment, including yarn size and gauge for sweaters.
• Lead all fit Model booking, fast-paced fittings and issue comments meeting specific account needs
• Evaluate garments each round of fitting against previously made comments, check measurements, trims, colors, materials and construction
• Sample tracking, fit T & A and uploading tech packs into our product management system
• Daily communication w/ factories & vendors to handle all technical related production work flow and emails.  Strong written and verbal communication skills needed
• Responsible for attending fittings and accurately conveying all fit comments and information clearly to factories (including photo comments, measurements, pattern corrections, fabric issues, etc.)
• Responsible for creating and/or updating tech packs as needed for both development and production
• Must be very knowledgeable in garment construction (sewing/patternmaking)
• Measure all garments (at various stages of development and/or production as required
• Proficiency in Excel & Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop required
• Must have outstanding organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail
• Must have a strong work ethic, dedicated to producing quality work
• Should be focused and able to work independently while also maintaining deadlines & coordinating w/ team
• Must be able to problem solve and find causes of/ solutions to fit and construction issues with follow through until fixed
• Knowledge of cut & sew knits preferred (including garment dye and/or treatments)
• Monitors calendar to ensure completion of line
• Responsible to stay on the planning calendar for the hand off all technical Information to the production team
• Owns the communication of the details of these handoffs to the Production team
• Candidates must be accurate, detail-oriented, have excellent follow-up capabilities, and able to prioritize and handle several projects simultaneously. This is a fast-paced environment so must be able to work quickly
• Bilingual in Chinese preferred

Min. 3-5 years industry experience preferred (salary DOE)
