The Recruiting and Hiring Manager would assist in recruiting efforts to hire 250+ summer staff, adult volunteers and service team for a variety of positions. Summer staff is composed of college age students who work for 6-12 weeks from May-August and play a large role in our ministry by serving and leading thousands of campers. Volunteers are adults who serve for 3 weeks at a time in a myriad of programs. Service team is made up of high school students ages 15-18 who serve in the dishroom and are discipled by summer staff.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Primarily assist in planning and coordinating recruiting visits and travel schedule
Follow up with unfinished applications and leads
Conduct Christ centered interviews
Research and learn then strategize and execute new methods of recruiting
Maintain knowledge of summer staff and volunteer positions at Glorieta to gain knowledge of each department to be able to present an informed front and job description when recruiting
Event planning and execution for the purpose of attracting interested students to serve at camp
Posting to a variety of social media platforms that positively promote summer employment
Building and maintaining relationships with college pastors
Meeting and maintaining relationships with potential or hired staff
Seek out speaking opportunities [classroom, small groups, church services, etc.]
Travel to college campuses, college ministries and other points of interest to create relationships for the purpose of recruiting
Collaborate with other team members to find new ideas for reaching college students
Research and order recruiting materials
Organize and pack for recruiting events
Handle and coordinate all necessary hiring paperwork for summer staff and volunteers
Continue to cultivate recruiting strategies to attract, develop and retain quality staff
Possibility of managing adult volunteers and service team
Contribute and participate in the greater Glorieta community

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Most on-site work will be done within the recruiting office at Glorieta, New Mexico doing computer work or organizing and packing for recruiting trips. There will also be frequent travel required sometimes at short notice where you will be interacting with many different venues of ministry.
