Fashion River Co. Ltd. Looking For Associate Fashion Designer AT New York, New York Full Time

New York based women’s fashion company seeks an Associate Designer.  We are a contemporary apparel company that has multiple brands and lines in the missy, women and junior wear categories from related separates, bottoms, tops, jackets, and dresses.

Individual should be organized, motivated, creative and have a good sense of style, trends and color direction.

Required Skills:

• Need to be eager to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Highly proficient with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop and tech sketching
• Extensive experience in measuring and specifying garment dimensions
• Excellent communications skills with production and technical design teams
• Must be comfortable presenting in front of buyers, management and our celebrity brand licensors
• Minimum of 5 to 7 year experience

Responsibilities include:

• Identifying current and upcoming trends for particular retailers and our brands
• Technical flat sketches
• Editing and creating line sheets
• Developing and designing presentation boards and color schemes
• In-depth knowledge of prints and pattern design
• Pattern repeats/re-coloring
• Organization is KEY

Compensation:

The position is full time five days week in NY office.
