Elisa Polystar is a part of Elisa’s international business domain. We are now looking for an internationally minded customer operations and network technology professional as a Senior Solution Manager to join our team. You will be designing state of the art automation solutions for telecom networks. This is a unique position for someone who wants to make a difference and be part of our growing international team.

In this role, you will have an opportunity to make a real impact and drive transformation in the industry. Our potential customers are located around the world and you will have an opportunity to work with them. To be successful, you need to take an active role and proactively engage with customers in order to drive projects to successful closure. Your daily responsibilities could include carrying out alarm and network incident analysis, development of algorithm logics together with the customer and/or contributions to product design. Additionally, you will be involved in customer collaboration and, in particular, planning, testing and verifying results together with customers. You work closely with the technical team to deliver the products and services to the customer.

Software development skills and experience is a plus but not mandatory. It is more important that you know how radio access, fixed access, metro ethernet, backhaul and core elements work. Previous experience in network operations would be highly beneficial.

Your main responsibilities:

• Work on global customer projects, ensure customer success and timely delivery of solutions
• Identify customer’s problems, design a solution to them, document it, and present it to the development teams.Ensure that the developed component solves the customer’s problem
• Contribute to product and process development
• Act as the technical authority and expert when required
• Apply an agile way of working with active learning and experimentation

We expect you to have most of the following:

• Hands-on network operational performance from telecom industry with references, and experience related to fault and performance management
• Customer focused mindset, with the ability to react to customer needs, new requirements and deadlines, but working in a systematic way
• International experience of customer projects, preferably with mobile or fixed operators
• Excellent communications skills, both written and spoken. English is essential, other languages are bonus
• Technical expertise and knowledge related to telecom networks and active and passive elements (for example Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, Cisco; radio access, fixed access, cable TV, microwave and fiber transmission, core network elements)
• Understanding and experience with agile software development
• Scripting, database and Linux skills is an advantage
• University degree, preferably in engineering, computer science or telecom
• Readiness to travel occasionally

We are flexible with your location, but your onboarding will be in Helsinki, Finland and your working hours follow Helsinki timezone.
