In Elisa’s International Digital Services, you can join a multidisciplinary team that is harnessing data and AI to overcome issues arising from wind and solar becoming the main forms of energy production. As a Senior Data Engineer,you would bring your expertise on developing data-intensive mission critical solutions to the team and enable us pilot and scale the new solutions to commercial reality.

What the role is all about?

You will develop data pipelines, data storage solutions and MLOps tooling as key foundation of our product development effort. You use your deep understanding of technologies to build up comprehensive and high-quality distributed system relying on cloud architecture in the technical domain of Smart Energy Solutions.

What do we expect from you?

• Solid experience in data processing and SW development (Data Engineering, DevOps, DataOps, Test Driven, agile, automation) building products
• Python is very familiar to you, especially in the context of mission critical and data intensive applications
• Solid hands-on experience in handling data flows in streaming and batches
• You are a team player, self-starter and have experience working in an agile team
• Working together with SW developers, data scientists and domain experts, supporting them to cope effectively with abundant data
• Experience with highly distributed systems, AWS, Azure, MLOps, ML/AI, databases and energy market solutions is a big plus

All the experience from these techs will benefit you but we are always looking for new techs and ways to do stuff.

Most of our team is based in Helsinki, but like the rest of the elisians, we can work flexibly (in Finland) wherever and whenever it suits us best.
