We are now looking for aData Protection Officer to join Elisa Corporation’s Legal and IPR Department to help lead and develop our privacy culture and practices as well as follow up on the development of international and domestic data regulation and its influence on Elisa’s business activities.

As a Data Protection Officer you will work in close cooperation with Elisa’s different business units as well as our Corporate Security Department. You’ll work in a rapidly changing and international environment where you have excellent opportunities to develop your expertise and contribute to Elisa’s mission through the responsible and ethical use of data.

In this role, we truly appreciate a solution-driven attitude, an understanding of business needs, and an ability to tackle complex privacy issues in a highly regulated environment. In addition, your main responsibilities will include:

• Promoting a culture of privacy compliance within Elisa
• Supporting and advising Elisa units in resolving privacy matters as well as providing privacy training and acting as the point of contact within Elisa
• Supporting commercial agreement negotiations from a privacy perspective
• Cooperating with public authorities on issues related to privacy
• Further developing Elisa’s existing privacy framework
• Leading and coordinating the DPOs within the Elisa Group companies
• Reporting to executive management on privacy compliance
• Evaluating new data-related regulations such as the AI Regulation and Data Act

What do we expect and hope from you?

• A Master’s or equivalent degree, e.g. Master of Laws
• At least five years of experience within the privacy area
• Industry certifications relating to privacy and risk management, such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT
• Privacy experience in an international environment and an interest in technology are particularly appreciated
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A solution-oriented and practical approach to meeting compliance requirements
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in both Finnish and English
