The role provides an opportunity to produce and champion best practice controls and tax practices to facilitate and streamline processes. You would also need to ensure a sustainable framework is in place to record and manage tax compliance. The role requires analysing the tax risks appropriately, escalating any tax issues / concers as appropriate on a timely basis.

The work is outsourced to tax advisors. Therefore, working knowledge of the above will be handy in reviewing their deliverables.

DWS’ Hybrid Working model in the UK is designed to find the right balance between in-person collaboration and engagement in the office, which is core to our working culture, and working from home. Employees who wish to sign-up to our Hybrid Working model are required to work in the office two days a week, and given the flexibility to work from home for the remaining three.

As tax manager, the role is to support the Infrastructure / Real assets business on matters such as:

Review of Tax structure reports – Luxembourg structures making investments in infrastructure assets / companies across Europe Reviewing and providing timely and accurate tax reporting to external investors Compliance – review of UK, US, German, Lux tax returns in relation to the entities in the structure Reviewing and answering queries received from ta authorities in European jurisdictions on the holding structure Devising means of repatriating cash up the structure in the most efficient manner Reviewing co-invest tax returns relating to UK, US, Italy and Spain Working knowledge of ATAD, DAC6 and Pillar II as applicable

Education & Experience Requirements

• Experience in Financial services
• Ability to build and manage strong relationships internally and externally (i.e. workings with different tax advisors across different jurisdictions)
• Understanding of typical investment structures
• Appreciation of EU tax policies and their potential implications for real asset investments
• Experience in dealing with outsourced tax service advisors is desirable but not a mandatory requirement
• ACA qualified / equivalent
