Our client is a long established, engineering consultancy with ambitious plans for growth. They are looking for a talented Civils Technician to join the infrastructure team in their London office on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will work on a wide range of projects including large data centres and will assist with/undertake design and detailing of engineering schemes with a Civils bias, feasibility studies, inspections, surveys and reports whilst assisting Job Managers in managing projects from inception to completion, including obtaining third party approvals, inspecting site works, undertaking contract administrative duties and liaising with clients, other professionals and the general public.

Requirements:

• A solid CAD background and strong Civil 3D experience would be of significant advantage,
• MicroDrainage and/or PDS would be of benefit but is not essential,
• Experience of working in a similar position is essential,
• Knowledge of the relevant Codes of Practice and Design Standards,
• An awareness of relevant health and safety legislation,
• Good numerical and verbal/written communication skills,
• Excellent attention to detail.

The successful Civil Technician will undertake design & calculations, checking drawings & proposing ideas from an infrastructure perspective and liaising with other disciplines.
