Travel: Must be willing to travel occasionally to support educational events and outreach.
Core Responsibilities:
Manage programs and partnerships focused on STEM educational opportunities leveraging the ISS National Laboratory.
Develop and maintain project management deliverables (i.e., project scope and objectives, relevant stakeholders, timelines, resource requirements, success criteria)
Implement strategies to broaden participation in order to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM opportunities and activities.
Assist with the evaluation of research projects within the STEM education portfolio.
Contribute to education grant applications and proposal development.
Support planning and execution of outreach programs, workshops, and conferences.
Provide regular communications to the STEM Manager regarding project performance, risks, and needs.
Provide other necessary duties as necessary.
Skills, Experience, and Education:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM or education-related field or an Associate’s degree with relevant demonstrated STEM education experience.
Excellent communication, including being comfortable speaking publicly and presenting to various audiences.
Proven project/program management experience.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and schedules.
Experience developing programs and building relationships.
Strongly desire previous experience with space-based research and commercial space.
