My client is a recognised Structural & Civil engineering firm with an established reputation in the industry. They are looking to appoint a senior Structural Engineer, ideally someone with Associate level experience but this is not essential. Located just off the M1 near Leicester it is very easy to get to and perfect for anyone in the Midlands area.
This opportunity is ideal for a self-driven engineer with a proactive approach to developing new business. The ability to self-manage and confidence in their own ability is essential as they are looking for someone who will be wanting to build their own team and are fully supportive of you becoming a Director further down the line.
Familiarity and understanding of a wide range of design aspects and materials is essential. Experience of various projects such as residential, religious, industrial, and heritage / conservation is ideal, and knowledge of potential development opportunities is also required. Good technical knowledge with the ability to confidently deliver information both in writing and verbal communication is vital.
The training and mentoring of junior members of staff will also be a big part of the role. Using your expertise and knowledge that you have developed over the years you will be expected to carry out these duties alongside your job as an engineer to the highest level.
