Big Sky Resort is eagerly looking for friendly and responsible team members to join our Mountain Operations and Mountain Services Teams.  See Job Overviews below:

• Base Operations
  •  Our Base Operation Team is the very front line of guest service. This crew is responsible for maintaining a visually pleasing and safe Base Area that creates a welcoming first impression. Crew members should be familiar with Big Sky Resort and the surrounding area and able to answer, or find the answer to, any guest questions.
  • Other duties include driving the guest shuttle to and from the Free Skier Parking Lot to the Base Area, cleaning up any debris in parking and Base Areas, and occupying the paid parking lot station. Come ready to work outdoors in all conditions!
• Lift Operators
  • Our Lift Operators ​​​​​​​monitor passenger’s use of chairlifts including observing, advising, and assisting while they are in the operators work area as they load or unload from the aerial or surface lifts. The operator responds to unusual occurrences or conditions by choosing an appropriate action such as: assisting the passenger, slowing or stopping the lift, and continuing operation and observation.
  • Enjoy three day weekends with four 10 hour shifts per week!
• Ticket Checkers
  • ​​​​​​​Ticket Checkers are responsible for greeting on mountain guests, act as a source for mountain information, and provide on mountain ticket and line management.  This position will spend their full shift outdoors on the mountain or in the base areas.  Flexibility, excellent guest service skills, enjoyment of the outdoors and the mountain environment are a must.  We want you to be able to ride daily so that you can share your first hand knowledge and enthusiasm for Big Sky with our guests.  Ability to ski/ride at an intermediate or higher level is a plus, but not a must.  All other duties as assigned.  

Employee Housing:

Big Sky Resort Employee Housing is all dorm style. Rooms are double or triple occupancy with attached bathrooms. Our local dorm rooms are furnished with twin/XL twin beds, dressers, closets or wardrobes, mini-fridges, microwaves, and TVs, while our Bozeman rooms are set up as standard hotel rooms with two queen beds. Options are available for $15 a night with a $150 deposit.
