ASSISTANT DESIGNER POSITION (Full Time)

A well-known children’s wear brand located in New York City seeks a highly motivated and organized talent for a fulltime design position. This position is available immediately.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting Designers to create the boys and girls lines
• Creating tech packs
• Sketching bodies in Illustrator.
• Helping to create, order, and set up showroom decor
• Working photoshoots: hiring models, organizing samples, assisting on set the day of shoot
• Approving lab dip, strike-off, and quality submits
• Corresponding with factories for all design related questions. 
• Following up on development samples
• Corresponding with China office to source fabrics
• Corresponding with factories to see new product
• Creating packaging and marketing ads

Job Qualifications:

• Must be proficient in Illustrator
• Must have an undergraduate degree in Fashion Design
• Must be an organized team player with good communication skills.
• Must have the ability to multi-task and keep to deadlines
• Minimum experience in design 2 years.
