ABB Robotics & Discrete Automation (RA), UK is currently looking for a highly motivated HR Business Partner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for multiple business lines and will work with the local and global business teams to provide excellent HR client support to the managers and employees of the business. The HR Business Partners are strategic allies in building our organization’s businesses by maximizing the value of human capital and aligning it with company initiatives, values, strategies, and the needs of all stakeholders.
Your responsibilities
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned to help the business meet short-term and strategic goals
Connect and build rapport with management team and employees in the organization, influence change in the organization
Work with ABB Talent and GBS teams to manage the recruitment and selection process of open roles in the Division
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and retention of employees
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization and work with management team on improvements
Oversee and manage a performance management process that drives high performance
Maintain pay and benefits programs in line with company policies
Assess training needs and organization development goals and monitor training program effectiveness
Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management and the employee life cycle
Implement succession planning program in all departments
Your background
Bachelors degree or equivalent is required
Minimum 5 years experience in HR discipline or functional experience closely related to HR or labor relations
Intermediate to advanced level in all Microsoft Office applications
Prior experience in a fast-paced organization
Prior experience as an HR Manager
Prior experience in workforce development, including early career programs
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Conceptional and analytical thinking
Strong entrepreneurial thinking, solution- and result-orientation
Reliable and fully committed to deadlines
Prior experience with succession planning and talent management and/or talent development
Prior experience in integration planning
